Well done to the children that attended the fun ferns netball sessions held during lunchtimes at school. Children learnt the fundamental skills of netball, ie: passing, shooting. Every child received a certificate and a netball.
Sth Cluster Cross Country Results
Congratulations to all children that competed in the cross country event at Waipuna Park today. The black rain clouds managed to stay away until the year 5/6 races, then it poured down and children pushed through rain drops showing perseverance during their races. Well done to all our runners and thank you very to the parents that helped with the organisation of the event. 14 runners have qualified to compete in the WBOP Cross Country event to be held at Waipuna Park on Wednesday, 3 July. Postponement date: Friday, 5 July. Selwyn Ridge won the overall School Points for having the most runners place in the top 3. The top 7 in each race qualified to compete in the WBOP Cross Country.

Our amazing race team completed challenges and worked through problem solving tasks using their kid on the ridge qualities. The event was held at Te Puna Quarry Park. Well done to the team -Callum Owen, Josh Hulbert, Stephen Darcy, Laura Christie, Shyla Moorfield, Sarah Carey. Special thanks to Mike Owen for managing the team on the day.
Recently our year 3/4 and year 5/6 Rippa rugby teams competed in the WBOP Rippa Rugby event held at Blake Park. Both teams represented the country Samoa and played other countries from other schools. The year 5/6 team played off in the final and placed runners up, the year 3/4 team played in the semi final and place 3rd overall. Both teams qualified to compete in the Baywide Championships event to be held next week on Wednesday 12 June at Paengaroa Domain.
