Well done to all the year 5/6 students for competing and giving their personal best in all the events on day held at the Gordan Spratt Domain. Congratulations to the students who qualified to compete in the Sth Cluster Athletic Event to be held on Monday 13 November at the Gordan Spratt Domain. A special thanks to the parents who helped with the running of events and to those parents and families who were able to come and support the students throughout the day.

Well done the SR Blues rugby league team for competing and representing Selwyn Ridge in the League Tournament held at Arataki Park today. All players played with perserence, making good strong tackles and backing eachother when needed during play.The team placed 2nd in Pool A and finished 7th place overall – Well Done team!! A huge thanks to coach Evan Lattie and team manager Craig Price. A special thanks to the wonderful parent and family supporters who were able to come and support the team on the day.
Congratulations to Eleanor Pugh, Kadin Nogaj, Hamish Neilson and Benjamin Hulbert for qualifing to compete in the BOP Cross Country Champs in Rotorua. A special well done to medal winner Eleanor Pugh – 2nd – Year 4 Girls.

Well done and thank you to the Year 5/6 World Cup Basketball team for representing Selwyn Ridge and their adopted country Poland. The team played with fantastic spirit and attitudes during every game. Throughout the day the team improved their basketball skills and teamwork which showed on and off the court. A special thanks to coach Ryan Piddington and score bench helper Landon Springall. Also to the parents who helped with transport and came to support the team. The team finished 27th out of 36 teams.

Thank you to all the children who attended the JT’s Mini Ferns Netball Programme over the past 5 weeks. Children have learnt the fundament skills of passing, shooting, movement and teamwork during the sessions. A special thanks to the Year 6 Dynamo Sports Leaders, Emma Springall, Sian Nathan, Chastiny Malone, Jasmine Riley, Myah Ioane and Sofie Phillips for sharing their netball skills and helping to develop the children during fun games and warm-ups.
Today we had 10 students compete at the WBOP Cross Country at Waipuna Park. Congratulations to all runners for completing the course, achieving personal goals and representing Selwyn Ridge and the South Cluster. A special congratulations to Year 6 Kadin Nogaj – 3rd Place and Year 4 Eleanor Pugh – 2nd Place medal winners. We had 4 students who qualifed in the top 15 in their race and will compete at BOP Primary Middle Schools Championship held at Kaharoa School in Rotorua on Tuesday 27 June – 9:30am to 2:30pm – Good luck to all runners!!

Thank you to the children who attended the lunchtime tennis lessons with Mrs Taylor on Tuesdays. Mrs Taylor enjoyed teaching children the fundamental skills of tennis and also growing childrens confidence during the each lesson.
