Fun in the sun for rooms 5 and 6 out and about round Mauao today
Kia ora whānau, Tomorrow we have our final assembly. This is an opportunity for us to acknowledge and celebrate progress and achievement for the year and also to awhi our year 6 learners as they prepare to spread spread their wings further and soar into the next stages of their education and lives. We're aiming to start at 8:45am. It's going to be pretty warm, so you might like to dress lightly. You may also like to bring a pillow. Parking at the Victory Street tennis carpark is recommended. School finishes this year on Tuesday 16 December at 2:30pm and is a free mufti day for our children. Ngā mihi
The Year 1 xmas concert today was fabulous. Our Year 1 tamariki were singing and dancing their hearts out to waiata about the beach, pōhutukawa, summer time, and even Santa. We had a huge whānau turnout supporting our tamariki, who lit up the stage with so much wairua and joy. Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi – with your contribution and mine, our people will thrive.
This week we've had the Kids Can Ride team in at SRP. Kids Can Ride is Travel Safe’s year 5-6 cycle skills programme. Thanks to the team for providing this great learning for our seniors.

We appreciate you all! Thank you to the children you have chosen to play sport, keep active and represent our school showing positive attitudes, sportsmanship, respect, resilience and commitment. Special thanks also to our guest speaker Brittany Jenkins for sharing her cricket journey since leaving SRP. Keep soaring high Brittany!
Do these belong to you? If you recognise any of these shoes pop into the office to be reunited :)
Kia ora whānau - what a fabulous, busy time around our kura this wiki. We loved the Jam Bus concert in our Manawa space - the talent is outstanding, you all rock! We also had our Y5 Road Patrol training with Lis our community constable, and you will be pleased to know they did an awesome job so we are in good hands next year:) A reminder to whānau that our end of year Sports Assembly for Year 3 and above is on this Friday in the school hall from 8:40am. Enjoy the rest of your week. Kāhore taku toa i te toa takitahi, he toa takitini. We cannot succeed without the support of those around us
