Welcome to
Selwyn Ridge School
Kia Ora koutou. Hope our tamariki have enjoyed the break. We're looking forward to seeing all our Kids on the Ridge back for a great term 3. Monday 22 July, 8:30am. See you then, don't miss out!
Have you listened to the latest 'Up on the Ridge' podcast yet? If you haven't you need to take up the 'opportunity'! https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/up-on-the-ridge-podcast/episodes/Opportunities---Episode-2---2024-e2lkqd3
A super special week to finish term 2! Great assembly this morning celebrating tamariki soaring high. A special ngā mihi to our skippers from rooms 11, 18 and 20 who had fun, got fit and raised LOTS of money for the Heart Foundation. And of course this week we celebrated the culmination of all our mahi toi learning with our learning exhibition on Wednesday. What a display of talent, creativity and sheer hard work and a fabulous way to welcome whānau in to end the term. Hapaitia te ara tika pumau ai te rangatiratanga mo nga uri whakatipu…foster the path of knowledge, strength, independence and growth for future generations. Have a fabulous term break everyone! See you all again on Monday July 22.
Fierce competition on the netball courts at lunchtime as the staff took on the mighty Selwyn Ridge Magic. Great skills wāhine toa and great tallness team staff! Loads of fun!
Thanks to all who joined our Ngā Toi celebration of learning yesterday. Some of you may have popped into room 7 and seen the move made by some of Kōtuku team. If you didn't... you can watch it here!
Mōrena, It's a newsletter day. A reminder that tomorrow is NON UNIFORM DAY to end the term.
Happy Wednesday Challenge day! A huge shoutout to Anna from Wednesday Challenge who came in and treated our amazing travel safe team to morning tea for all their mahi across this term - ka nui te mihi. To round off our awesome term of increasing active travelling to school have a look at this key message from Alicia, Ruby & Annah about the why & how of active travelling to school Mercury Wednesday Challenge
