STAR group are having their first meeting this Thursday 13 February at 7pm in the Staff Room. Please come along if you’re interested in joining them, everyone welcome! If you’d like to say hi first or can’t make it, some of our lovely team will be in the Manawa space on Thursday morning at 8.30am for a coffee.

We are very grateful for all the hard work that's resulted in the installation of an AED device at our school. A big thank you to St Johns for funding the unit and to Sonia Anderson, former parent and STAR stalwart for all her drive and organisation in securing it. Ngā mihi nui also to the Drury-Martin family who have very kindly donated the cabinet for the unit. We have such a fabulous school whānau who continue to be an important part of our community even long after their kids on the ridge have flown the nest! The unit is located on the back hall wall just opposite the admin door. It would be great if we never had to use it but also very reassuring for the community to know it's there! Thanks again everyone involved in this important project.

Let the fun begin! We are so enjoying having all our tamariki back on the ridge and launching into learning for 2025. A reminder that while we are closed on Thursday for Waitangi Day, we will be here for a usual school day on Friday. Looking forward to seeing you all at our whakawhānaunatanga evening next Wednesday too!

Kia ora whānau, Staff are up at school this week preparing for the year ahead. Today we welcomed Charlotte Wilkinson who facilitated learning for our team around the new mathematics curriculum. It was a great day of learning for us all. A reminder the school office is open daily this week between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. During this time, we can assist with inquiries, enrolments, and uniform and stationery sales. Friday, 31 January, classrooms will also be open from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. This is a great opportunity for ākonga and whānau to pop in, meet the teacher, and ease any beginning-of-year nerves. We'll also be hosting our whakawhanaungatanga open afternoon on Wednesday 12 of February from 4:30-6:00pm. Pop it on your calendar - we'd love to see you. We’re excited to welcome back our tamariki to launch into 2025 on Monday, 3 February. Ko koe ki tēnā, ko ahau ki tēnei kīwai o te kete. Here’s to another fantastic year of working together in partnership to help our tamariki flourish!
