Summers sports

Kiwi tag, volleyball, focus on fun, have a go cricket, tennis lessons and t-ball start this week. Flippa ball will start on Tuesday next week. Our cricket team played their first game on Saturday. All sports are displayed on the school sports board in the hall. We look forward to a great season :)

BOP Cross Country Event 2013

Congratulations to our students Taylor Smith, Shyla Moorfield, Anaya Smith and Jakob Eberlein for competing on a true cross country course on the farm land that backs onto Woodlands School in Opotiki. There was 55 runners in each race. A special congratulations to year 5 – 2nd place medal winner Anaya Smith, she ran a fantastic race pacing herself and making tactical moves along the course to gain places. We are so proud of all our runners for representing the South Cluster, Western BOP and Selwyn Ridge at the highest cross country level, the Bay of Plenty Championship. You are all amazing!!
Results are: Year 6 – Taylor Smith – 6th
Year 6 – Shyla Moorfield – 22nd
Year 5 – Anaya Smith – 2nd
Year 5 – Jakob Eberlein – 18th



WBOP Cross Country 2013

Congratulations to all the children for competing well and representing the South Cluster and Selwyn Ridge at the WBOP Cross Country event at Waipuna Park. To reach this level is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of you all.

A special congratulations to the children that placed in the top 15, Taylor Smith year 6 Champion, Anaya Smith, year 5 – 2nd place, Ryan Kaeding, year 5 – 7th place and Shyla Moorfield, year 6 – 11th place.
