Wow! What a night! Thanks so much to our STAR team for an awesome fundraising musical bingo night. So much fun enjoyed by all and we greatly appreciate all of the organisation and mahi that you put in. Thanks again to all the sponsors, and our wonderful community who attended. BINGO!

Ahiahi pai koutou whānau, What a beautiful day we are having up on the ridge! In our first T4 Soaring high hui we enjoyed acknowledging the certificate recipients and hearing about some of the amazing mahi around our kura. Ka rāwe! Mr Price & Mr De Barr took us all for some singing and even tested out our harmonising :) Wow, thanks to Mrs Crompton for sharing about the 'Play your way' week coming up next week and organising the amazing Sport Bay of Plenty outdoor games that we will all get to try out, along with the playtime tuakana / teina athletics activities happening on the field each day tū meke!. We had some ākonga from Room 21 come and share about the mahi toi they are doing - where they are representing their whānau through kowhaiwhai patterned borders and using pictures depicting things/events special to their whānau. Some learners from room 19 presented us with some diya they have made for Diwali and Theo shared some fantastic artwork that he entered in a Tauranga Art Gallery competition about the future of our city. He aha te mea nui o te ao? Ko te whanau What is the most important thing in this world? It is family. Reminder - Monday is a non-uniform day to celebrate Diwali. Wear your bright, colourful clothes and get ready for our special Monday Morning Message happening at 1:45pm - all whānau welcome.

Namaste Diwali is coming! Children from our Indian whānau have been busy planning a celebration and preparing a special lunch for their families. On Monday we will be celebrating across our kura. It’s a non-uniform day for everyone and children are invited to wear cultural costumes or bright and colourful clothes that reflect the joyful spirit of Diwali. Special Diwali Assembly is at 1.45 in the hall. Everyone is welcome to join us:)
