Kia ora koutou, A message from our Board. Kia pai tō rā whakatā Have a great weekend.
He iti rearea, kāhikatea ka taea. Even the smallest bird can fell the largest tree.
Weren't our tamariki super stars tonight? We were so proud! Not much time for photos backstage but we will post lots more from our front of house photographer tomorrow. Thanks to our fabulous team who work so hard to give our kids on the ridge the opportunity to shine on the big stage...and to our whānau for all the support in getting them there. Please be sure to let the office know if anyone's having a sleep in tomorrow.
We are having fun practising for the world famous Selwyn Ridge 2025 Extravaganza at Baycourt today. No stress here! Looking forward to seeing you all tonight to witness your tamariki shine✨⭐️🌟💫
Kia ora koutou, This morning at our Monday Morning message hui we launched into Week 7 with some awesome performances and recognised some top level achievements. First up our junior kapa haka performed a waiata and a haka for us, ka rawe tō mahi! We recognised our Year 5 and 6 south cluster Athletics place getters - congratulations and good luck to those competing at the Western Bay athletics next week. Next up we celebrated all our Bookmark Award winners soaring high across their manawa, kete and whakaaro - keep up the awesome mahi. Lola and Willow from our Travel Safe team presented our top 4 Wednesday Challenge classes who all achieved 100% active travel - fantastic team effort rooms 1, 3, 5 & 12. And to top off our hui we were super lucky to be entertained by our very own rock band - 'Black Hat'. What a great start to the week. Kia pai tō wiki - have a good week whānau :) He oranga ngākau, he hikinga wairua When it touches your heart, it lifts your spirit
Mōrena whānau, Welcome to Wiki 7. Did you know there are only 2 more weeks left in our 2025 Wednesday ChallengeChallenge schools competition? Selwyn Ridge needs you to help us out ... we are currently in the top 3 schools for the Tauranga region but we reckon we can get to first place with your help! For the next 2 weeks every Wednesday we need as many tamariki as possible to actively travel to school. There are lots of ways you can travel actively to school - walk, bike, scooter, skate or maybe share with another whānau to car pool and also you can park ‘n’ stride or glide by getting dropped off at the tennis courts or further away from the school gates. Let's go Selwyn Ridge :)
Mōrena, It's the last day for the book fair today. It will be packed up and sent to the next school this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who has supported it. The book fair raffle is still for sale for the next week in the library. Thanks for your support!
