Flippaball (waterpolo) Year 3 to Year 6 Players
Starts: Wednesday 11 February until Wednesday 18 March  (6 Weeks) 

Fee: $75 per player 

Venue: Memorial Park Pool, 300 Devonport Road, Tauranga - Year 3/4 Learners’ Pool - Year 5/6 - Big Pool 
Game Time: Various times between 4:00pm - 7:30pm - 20 minute game - (2x10 minute halves per game)

Team coaches are needed please - the rules are basic to learn - referees are provided for the games

 You don’t have to be a confident swimmer, just have fun in the water. It is recommended that players with long hair have it tied back so caps can be fitted easily.

Flippaball is a modified version of Water Polo aimed exclusively at Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. Teams will consist of up to 9 players, with 6 players in the pool at any one time. 

There are two teams, each of which must have a minimum of six players. Each team must have 5 field players and 1 goalie in the pool at one time. Players are permitted to walk along the bottom if they do not have the ball. If in possession of the ball the player must swim or pass. Players must catch and pass with only one hand. The game consists of two halves of 10 minutes duration.
