Welcome to
Selwyn Ridge School
In our Monday Morning Message this wiki we were very busy celebrating all our awesome ākonga. As always our tamariki 'Bookmark Awards' were full of achievements where students were soaring high. Well done to those who chose to take part in the ICAS Assessments, with a special mention to Eundo who achieved a DISTINCTION grade - which is achievement in the top 11%, and also Francois, Stanley D, Fletcher & Yarromir achieving a CREDIT grade - which is in the top 35% of participants. We welcomed Anna from Wednesday Challenge and Jolene from TCCouncil who came along to surprise us with our national Wednesday Challenge prize! So awesome - ka rawe tō mahi kura. Have a great week whānau :)
GUESS WHAT WHĀNAU ....? WE DID IT - YOU DID IT! SRP CAME FIRST PLACE IN NZ FOR THE WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE BIGGEST SHIFT IN ACTIVE TRAVELLING ACROSS THE YEAR! A BIG SHOUT OUT TO OUR TRAVEL SAFE ĀKONGA TEAM WHO ENCOURAGED & MOTIVATED US ALL RIGHT ACROSS THE YEAR. AND WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL THE WHĀNAU WHO JOINED IN AND ACTIVELY TRAVELLED TO SCHOOL THIS YEAR.
Kia ora whānau, At our Wiki 8 Friday assembly we were lucky to have Mankirat & Gina as our exceptional MC's. We celebrated all our tamariki soaring high with our Selwyn Ridge certificates and also acknowledged our tamariki who did awesome in the recent Orienteering competition - ka rawe tō mahi! We had a fantastic sing along with Mr De Barr & the Room 8 choir - even with a whole lot of our Y6's out at an intermediate visit! And of course we all enjoyed being a bit active with some 'wiggle time'!
Congratulations on a great year of Road patrol and Travel Safe mahi! Today at the Orange Day Parade we celebrated the dedication of our ākonga showing up for us every week. A big shout out to all our whānau who came along and helped out or transported us around today:) A special thanks to Jolene from Travel safe, Anna from Wednesday Challenge and Liz our Community constable for all your support across the year.
Mōrena whānau, A huge shout out to all our tamariki & whānau who actively travelled to kura for our final Wednesday Challenge! Thank you for getting in and supporting us. Even the rain did not stop us this morning:) Our Travel Safe ākonga were out and about supporting our tamariki - what a great team! And next week we will be announcing the overall 2025 top 4 classes for the year. "Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari kē he toa takitini My strength is not that of a lone warrior, but of a collective"
LAST DAY .... CAN YOU TRAVEL ACTIVELY TO SCHOOL TOMORROW MORNING? LET'S MAKE THE LAST DAY COUNT - WE'VE GOT THIS SRP!
